100 Words Contest

This is a Free to Write contest, hosted by [Emily]!

Rules

This is a contest that is slightly confusing, but totally worth doing.

You must write a paragraph following these terms:

- 100 words exactly in length, no more and no less.

- No repeating of any words. This includes 'a', 'the', 'it', 'I', 'me', etc.

- Themes?: No theme. It can be totally random. Go from space to the wild if you want to.

Purpose

The purpose of this exercise is to see what you can do before you have to crack out a thesaraus and/or dictionary. I suggest that you try this exercise monthly, yearly, whatever, but do it more than once. See how far your vocabulary can take you!

Scoring and Info

I will score based on if you followed the rules, and then content. It's okay if your paragraph is random, I will not bias you on if it all fits in a nice little compact theme or not. Grammar and punctuation is a given. Any errors in spelling or grammar will dock points. Creativity will earn you more points.

1. Paragraph form only.

2. Original work only, please copyright.

3. Spellcheck, grammar, the regular will help you in points or harm you in points, depending on how you use this godly power.

4. 100 words only. NO more, NO less.

5. Deadline is January 29th, 2006.

6. Submissions with overt sexual themes may be okay, but they should be privately messaged to me, ([Emily],) for review.

For an example, see 252.Miscellaneous Material.Wonder Sitting on the Docks

Thank you [Mister Saint] for the general layout of how to do a contest clearly and precisely, and also, thank you for the dividers at WritersCo Graphics!

Please be sure to message [Emily] not to write a contest wiki page late into the wee hours because then she finds herself doing many, many edits...

2006-01-17 [Mister Saint]: *throws a bree (sp?) at him*

2006-01-17 [Kuzco]: what's a bree? What do you mean sp? I just short circuited here....*falls on the ground with smoking head*

2006-01-17 [Mister Saint]: *laughs* (sp?) means I probably spelled it wrong. And a bree is a huge, round, and white-ish cheese that, I guess, is eaten with wine? I don't know, I think it is an English thing. ^_^

2006-01-17 [Kuzco]: AH, I recognize bree now! *eats the bree*

2006-01-17 [Font]: Brie Cheese, it's French, pretty nice.. had some tonight in a toasted sandwhich ^_^

2006-01-17 [Mister Saint]: Oh, I figured I had it wrong. The only place I saw it was on the TV show Whose Line is it Anyway. ^^

2006-01-17 [Font]: Ya, it's really not that common. Not something you go out of your way each week to buy.

2006-01-17 [Mister Saint]: Especially over here in Hickville U.S.A. *snickers*

2006-01-17 [Font]: We decided to get a cheese hamper to go with our Christmas food, and I had my first taste of it then.

2006-01-18 [Burning Inside]: wow nice, I dont think I have ever tried it....but my home is like....well Hickville, Alberta.....

2006-01-18 [Font]: It's nothing worth dying for, but it is an experience a taste of France ^_^

2006-01-19 [Kaimee]: We always have Danish Brie in the fridge, it's pretty common here O.o; And camembert (like Brie, but french, not as sharp), and walnut cheese, cheddar, pepperjack, gouda, parmesan, ricotta, and crackerbarrel, and all sorts of random cheeses ^^; Most people here do too, maybe Australians eat cheese more than other nationalities? :P

2006-01-19 [Mister Saint]: Could be. Cheese is good for ya though. Puts hair on your chest. *hands Kaimee an electric shaver*

2006-01-19 [Kuzco]: lol....that is a LOT of cheese. I like cheese, cheese is good. :P

2006-01-19 [Burning Inside]: yea im just deleting myself from this competition for now, if I can do it later I will, but right now I can't

2006-01-19 [Kuzco]: what? but you were already in?

2006-01-19 [Mister Saint]: How come? You already had your entry in, Burning.

2006-01-19 [Kuzco]: thash what I mean *weeps* where's my damned tissue? *looks in pockets*

2006-01-19 [Kaimee]: But but but.... I liked Burning's entry O.o

2006-01-19 [Mister Saint]: Yeah, me too. What gives, boyo?

2006-01-19 [Kaimee]: P.S. Cheese is a staple of life *^_^* You can eat it with almost anything else! :D
